After six months of producing free weekly episodes of 'The Sketchup Show', the founders of School have decided it is time to see if anybody has learned anything. Throughout the month of July, Architects, Interior Designers, and hobbyists that think they have the skills and the artistic eye can submit design solutions in SketchUp that solve the functional needs of a film studio and look really cool. Best design will be awarded a Logitech Space Navigator as well as celebrity status on the School website.
"The best way to learn to use SketchUp is to work on a real world problem. When we started planning this studio remodel, the first thing we did was open up SketchUp and start visually brainstorming. Almost instantly we realized that this would be a great project to let the SketchUp community tackle," explained Mike Tadros, cofounder. "School's mission is to build an online community that is involved in the evolution of the service we provide, and The Sketchup Show Studio Design Competition is one of many of these initiatives."
