Okay so 3 guys walk in a bar named Virus, Malware, and Rootkit . . . who's stopping them? [closed]
Assumption: Now that ubuntu is mainstream and easily the most recognizable Linux distro, more hackers are going to write malware/rootkits/virus's specifically targeting Ubuntu. In all likelihood Linux itself will be more targeted now, specifically Debian focused distro's.
Q1: Agree/Disagree
Q1a: If you agree- Then you probably agree that the virus/rootkit/malware protection options for Ubuntu and Linux in general suck. Is this going to improve? What are the latest developments in this department?
Q1b: If you disagree- why?
